Brief Description

Are you looking to start your career in childcare? Kiddy Academy Wavertree are looking for a Level 2 Apprentice to join their team, you will be required to work shifts between 30-40 hours per week across 4-5 days. You will provide all aspects of care to children and learn with an award winning training provider.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths and English at a Grade 4/C or equivalent.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Kiddy Academy Wavertree are looking for the right candidate to join them as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice.

As an apprentice your duties will be:

To attend team meetings and input ideas.
Under supervision, to provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding.
To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
To provide adult interaction with children in the nursery.
To be aware of the nurseries confidentiality policy.
To support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
To attend ALL out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evenings summer fair, Christmas party, etc.
To input and contribute to ideas regarding implementation of policies and procedures such as Early Years Foundation Stage.
To contribute to good standards of hygiene and cleanliness in Nursery.
To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the trainee's supervisor from time to time.
To look upon the nursery as a "whole" where can you help be most utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of children.
To respect the confidentiality of information received.
To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development.
To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times.
To be aware of all emergency and fire evacuation procedures.
To be aware of sections 7 & 8 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
To understand that as part of training you will be required to move to other parts of the nursery.
To be flexible in hours and duties in order to meet the needs and requirements of the nursery.
