Brief Description
Looking for a career in childcare? Noah’s Ark Nursery are currently looking for a Nursery Apprentice to help provide high-quality childcare whilst working toward a recognised qualification. You will be learning how to provide quality play and care through day to day activities, whilst building strong working relationships with the team, the children and the parents.
Qualifications Required
GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 3/D or above, or an alternative Level 1 qualification in Functional Skills. Applicants applying for a Level 3 role will need a Level 2 childcare qualification or demonstrate a willingness to attend a 6-week Skills Bootcamp programme.

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will be expected to provide the highest standard of care and education for the children in our setting. Under supervision, you will be trained to perform the role of a qualified practitioner, contributing to the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of each child. You will work as part of a team to create an enabling environment where children can play, learn, and thrive, while building strong relationships with your mentor, colleagues, and parents. Your responsibilities will include attending relevant training, supporting staff with a positive attitude, and maintaining effective communication with families. You will also help ensure a high-quality environment that respects individual needs, cultures, and medical backgrounds, while preserving confidentiality and reporting any concerns to management. Flexibility is essential, as you may be asked to assist with administrative tasks, domestic duties, snack preparation, and event participation. You will also support the planning and delivery of engaging play opportunities, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and be aware of key roles such as safeguarding officers and SENCOs. Administering first aid and completing necessary documentation will also be part of your role.
