Brief Description

Are you looking to start a career in Childcare? Well this could be the opportunity for you, with an exciting level 2 early years apprenticeship at Pudsey Day Nursery. You will support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities and ensure the welfare and safety of children is promoted. Uniform is provided.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Future Prospects

Once qualified to Level 2 candidate can progress onto Level 3

Some duties and responsibilities include:


Training in all aspects of the E.Y.P Level 2
Feeding
Toileting
Health and Safety
Communicating effectively with Children and Parents
Safeguarding
Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the early years foundation stage
Work with parents, colleagues and other agencies to ensure children’s individual needs are met
Support the children to understand healthy life choices through engaging play activities
