Brief Description

Are you interested in a career in childcare? Want to learn in a nursery setting not in a classroom? Rosie and Jims at Anfield pre-school are looking for an Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to join their team! You will be trained in all aspects of childcare, children's development and early years.

Qualifications Required

No formal qualifications are required but candidate's must have basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Duties/responsibilites include:

Will be involved in all aspects of this busy setting including:

Communicating effectively with Children and Parents
Health and Safety
Safeguarding
Ensure the welfare and safety of children is promoted and report safeguarding issues and concerns to the person in charge

Support the planning and delivery of purposeful play activities in line with the early years foundation stage

Work with parents, colleagues and other agencies to ensure children’s individual needs are met
Support the children to understand healthy life choices through engaging play activities
Take an active role in seeking out continuous professional development opportunities during the apprentices programme and beyond

Other Information

You will be working towards the level 2 early years practitioner apprenticeship standard.
