Brief Description
Interested in childcare? Want to learn in a nursery setting not in a classroom? Rosetree Day Nursery are looking for an immediate starting Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to join their OUTSTANDING team! You will be trained in all aspects of childcare, children's development and early years.
Qualifications Required
No qualifications required, although any experience in childcare is an advantage
Personal Qualities
Punctual and honest
Skills Required
Must be smart and presentable and have a keen interest in childcare
Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Future Prospects
To progress onto a Level 3 Early years Educator.

As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice you initially will move between baby, toddler and pre-school rooms receiving a variety of training,
Eventually you will be given Key Children and responsibilities including:
Planning activities,
Risk assessments,
Toileting,
Feeding,
Changing nappies,
Playing games.
