Qualifications Required
GCSE level education and experience working with children is essential for a level 3 role.
Personal Qualities
• To be well presented and have good time keeping skills.
• Must be enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working
• To be able to work as part of a team
• To be able to use your own initiative
Skills Required
• Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea
• You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page
• Having a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
• You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to be a large part of your working day
• Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families; there is simply no other job quite like this one
Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

The nursery is currently seeking enthusiastic, passionate, and hard-working individuals to join their team as Early Years Apprentices. In this role, apprentices will work towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification while supporting the nursery’s daily routines, assisting with activities, and helping to create a high-quality learning environment. Key responsibilities include developing positive relationships with children, understanding child development, supporting inclusive practices, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene. Apprentices will also gain knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the importance of learning through play.
