Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Future Prospects
Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may be offered a full-time role at the nursery, with the option of undergoing further training.

At Duckling Day Nursery, we are looking for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our exceptionally well-qualified and experienced team.
The ideal candidate will be a fun-loving, motivated individual who is passionate about working with children and able to work effectively as part of a team. In this role, you will assist team members in delivering the highest standards of care, compliance, and education for children, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursery and building positive relationships with both staff and parents.
You will contribute ideas to planning to ensure children receive a high quality of learning and development, liaise with colleagues regarding children’s individual needs, and help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment at all times.
All necessary assessments will take place within the nursery, and you will receive excellent mentoring and support to help you achieve your goals, along with access to a wide range of progression opportunities within the setting and the wider nursery group.
