Brief Description

Bright Skies Day Nursery has a fantastic opportunity for you to join the passionate team to earn and learn. As an early years apprentice you will provide a high standard of childcare and education for children in the Early Years, help implement the daily routine and ensure provision of a safe and healthy environment for both children and adults.

Qualifications Required

Preferred L2 in early years but will consider the right candidate

Personal Qualities

• To be enthusiastic and passionate about working in Early Years
• To support your colleagues and be able to work within a team

Skills Required

• To have a friendly, caring, positive and hard-working attitude
• Some experience working with children is ideal

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

As an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice you role will include:
• Being part of a friendly team
• Making sure the children have a safe, fun and great learning environment.
• Helping the children learn life skills including, feeding, toileting, counting and writing independently.
• Building relationships by engaging and interacting with the children, staff and families
• To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
• To undertake designated officer roles as directed.

We have several job openings available, both part-time and full-time. The holiday entitlement varies based on contracted hours, offering 20 days for full-time roles, in addition to all bank holidays. The hourly wage will be in line with the minimum wage for the candidate's age. There isn’t a closing date for these positions, and we can be flexible with interview times/days to accommodate the candidates. The start date can be as soon as they are available.
