Brief Description

Start your childcare career with Gigglebean Nursery! We’re seeking a Level 3 Apprentice to work 30–40 hours across 4–5 days. Gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring, and work towards a fully funded Level 3 Early Years qualification. Qualifications Required

"Entry Requirements

• A genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
• Priority will be given to candidates who hold a full and relevant Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Willingness and commitment to enrol on and complete the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or willingness to work towards Functional Skills if required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
• A caring, reliable, and professional approach to work.
• Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child protection.
• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)."

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, there will be opportunities to progress into a permanent Level 3 Early Years Practitioner role, subject to performance and vacancies. We are committed to supporting staff development and offer clear progression pathways, including opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, develop leadership skills, and progress into senior or room leader roles over time. Ongoing training and professional development will be encouraged to support long-term career growth within the setting.

Vacancy Detail

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality care and education within the setting, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. You will take part in daily routines such as mealtimes, sleep times, and personal care, while supporting planned activities and engaging children in play based on their interests. You will also participate in daily health and safety checks to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment and work alongside experienced practitioners to develop your professional practice.

You will assist with Key Person responsibilities under guidance, building secure and trusting relationships with children and contributing to observations and assessments to help track their development and progress. It is essential that you follow safeguarding, health and safety, and whistleblowing policies at all times, reporting any concerns appropriately. You will communicate positively with parents and carers, supporting daily handovers when required, and actively engage in your Level 3 apprenticeship training by completing coursework and assessments on time. Throughout your role, you will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and teamwork in line with the setting’s values.
