Brief Description
Little Heroes Nurseries Ltd offers an exciting Level 2 Early Years apprenticeship opportunity to support children up to age five in a fun, nurturing environment. You'll help deliver engaging play-based activities, support learning and development, monitor progress, and provide high-quality care that helps every child thrive.

Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
Future Prospects
We can offer progression into a full time Nursery Practitioner role following successful completion of a childcare qualification.
Progression routes include; Room Leader, Floor Leader, Deputy and Nursery Managers.

As an early years apprentice, your duties will include;
• Carry out daily care routines to support children's health, wellbeing, and development.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support their next steps in learning.
• Build positive relationships with parents and maintain effective communication.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to a safe and secure nursery environment.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, parents' evenings, and open days.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
We require a team member who:
- has a genuine passion and enjoyment for working with children
- has a commitment to safeguarding and will support the nursery in its high standard of safety and safeguarding (an enhanced DBS check will be required)
- is willing to work as part of a team
- has a friendly personality with a flexible and calm approach
Other Information
Applicants should be prepared to provide or undergo Paediatric First Aid training, Safeguarding and Child Protection training, and complete a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
