Brief Description

Are you wanting to get hands on experience and earn while you learn? Do you love working with children? First Footsteps Anfield are looking for a childcare apprentice to work as part of a busy team of Early Years professionals providing child development to children aged 0-5 years, while gaining your Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required

GCSE's Maths and English grades 4 and below are desired but not essential

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Future Prospects

To progress to a higher Early Years qualification, gain full-time employment.

First Footsteps Nurseries is a small group of three nurseries based in Liverpool and Leyland. They have many years' experience in providing high quality childcare in a safe, stimulating and happy environment for children ages between three months and five years.

Come and join the experienced team as a level 2 apprentice and you will learn to;

• To plan daily activities for children
• To help prepare meals for children
• To adhere to safeguarding policy and procedures
• To undertake Early Years qualification
• To communicate with parents and carers
