Brief Description

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young people? Grow your early years career at Sunbeams Day Nursery as a Level 3 Apprentice, supporting children with day to day activities and preparing them for school life and beyond. Earn as you learn in this established nursery with experienced practitioners.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Future Prospects

To continue with their training, undertake additional on line courses to enhance their knowledge and understanding and hopefully progress up the ladder to a senior position

As a Level 3 apprentice you will;
Work as part of a team providing high quality care and education for the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
Provide exciting activities which challenge children's learning and development.
Work towards being a key person for a group of children to plan for their individual development.
Carry out care routines such as nappy changing, toileting, hand washing and feeding routines with care, respect and compassion
Work in partnership with other professionals, parents, colleagues and children to meet the individual needs of children
Ensure the welfare, well-being and safety of children is promoted and report safeguarding issues and concerns to the person in charge

Candidates must be fun, motivated and enthusiastic with a positive work ethic.
Must be able to listen, follow instructions and accept constructive feedback to help them learn and develop as a practitioner.
Must be a team player but also able to use own initiative
Must be willing to get messy, sing songs and dance with a smile!
