Brief Description
Mosscroft Childcare have a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in childcare in a friendly, established setting. You will be supporting the qualified team with planning fun activities and carrying out basic duties whilst training to complete a level 2 apprenticeship. All staff are issued with t-shirts.
Qualifications Required
▪ Grades 4 or equivalent in Maths and English is desirable but not essential.

Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Functional skills in Maths and English if required
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Provide safe, secure and stimulating environment for children.
• Supervise children during meals and play
• Assist with personal care, such as toileting, handwashing, dressing and feeding.
• Promote children's health and wellbeing
You will also work as part of a team of professional Early Years staff.
• Attending regular staff training and monthly meetings.
• Carrying out duties such as nappy changes, laundry duties and supervision of snacks/meals as directed by the Room Leader.
