Brief Description

As an early years apprentice you will support the children's needs as well as monitoring their learning and encouraging their development. You will be guided and supported throughout.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

Vacancy Detail

Little Treasures are looking or a dedicated Level 3 early years apprentice to work in a small setting with a wonderful team of practitioners, providing care and education for all children of nursery age. The post is for full time position and you will work closely with the room leader to understand all areas of work.

Duties and responsibilities

• College attendance/meeting with training provider and completing assignments on time
• To attend team meetings and participate in sharing ideas
• Under supervision provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
• To assist with meeting the personal, social and emotional needs of individual children
• To provide adult interaction with children in the nursery
• To attend all training relevant to the role and deemed appropriate by the manager/training provider
• To be aware of the nursery’s confidentiality policy and all other policies the manager deems appropriate
• Team work
• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
• To attend out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events etc.
